Lanthanides and Actinides

With the main part of the table done, hung, and out of the way, focus is now placed on those two rows people are familiar with - the Lanthanides and Actinides. I’m halfway done with these (the Actinides), with famous members uranium and plutonium, among others. Toward that end, today’s project was getting thorium and lutecium out of the way. Thorium, of course, is named after the Norse god Thor. Lutecium is named after the Roman word for the city now known as Paris, hence the Eiffel Tower.

I also updated nihonium, which is named after Japan. I’ll be updating several panels in the weeks ahead in the same way, visually capturing the etymology of certain elements.
