A tiny place to eat and drink…
I made a little progress this weekend on the Big E. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m deviating from the film and ignoring how the filming miniature looked for this build, electing to use artistic license. The Enterprise is, after all, a fictional vehicle.
In this spirit, I built out a small room that will be visible through bay windows in the lower hull of the spacecraft. The room is completed, and I did a light test to make sure thing looked ok before adding tiny figures, which, along with the plants, will add even more life to the scene. I’m pleased with the result.
Next step will be to glue the figures into the room, then install the room into the body of the model, lining it up with the bay windows. After that will be installation of electronics, which will be a significant challenge, but one I look forward to.
