The Standard Model
I recently completed a complementary piece to the Periodic Table of Elements: an artistic representation of the Standard Model. The Higgs boson is in the middle, surrounded by the force particles photon, gluon, the W and the Z. Six quarks in blue and six leptons in red. I decided against adding the antiparticles. So, these particles in various combinations make atoms, of which there are 118 flavors called elements. These elements make up matter, which is 5% of the universe.
An interesting artistic exercise will be to somehow render the remaining 95% of the universe composed of dark energy and dark matter…
