Optics
The habitation module is wired up and everything is functioning well. There are four spot beams shining outwards (toward the engine) that will reflect off the gold panels. Hopefully, this will cast an interesting gold glow on the interior of the dome shell. We’ll see.
About 4 feet of fiber optics is being used for this section. Next up is closing off the ring section to avoid light bleed. In the meantime, I’ve been painting the dome black and getting that ready to integrate with the ring. There are light sources in the dome piece as well, including four strobes for anti-collision lights.
So far, so good!
