Earth v2
Originally, my plan was to produce a series of about 130 digital paintings depicting various stages in our planet’s evolution. Then, I embarked on the Periodic Table of Elements project and, inspired by the process, decided to implement the approach taken and apply it to the Earth project. So, instead of 130 paintings (the six completed have been moved to the 2D gallery), I will produce at least 130 wood panels measuring 2.5” by 12”, each depicting a period, epoch, or age in the Earth’s history. The latter panels will capture future states, obviously imagined.
These panels will be bolted together somehow, with spacers in between, similar to those used in the Periodic Table of Elements. I’m not sure of the final arrangement, because if combined in linear sequence the row of panels would measure 33 feet long! I’ll figure something out. I always do.
